Personal Profile

Joh is a generally registered psychologist with experience supporting adults across a broad range of mental health concerns, with particular expertise in complex and developmental trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, and dissociative coping responses. Since 2016, she has worked with individuals seeking long-term, relationally focused therapy to build safety, stability, and meaningful change.

Joh works with presentations including anxiety and depression, trauma and complex PTSD, stress and burnout, neurodivergence (including Autism and ADHD), identity and self-worth concerns, life transitions, and interpersonal or relational difficulties. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals impacted by developmental and relational trauma, as well as those who experience dissociation or longstanding trauma-related coping patterns.

Her therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and grounded in a phase-oriented understanding of recovery. Her therapeutic approach focuses on strengthening emotional regulation and distress tolerance, increasing capacity to remain present during periods of heightened affect, deepening self-understanding, and supporting clients to move toward lives that feel more aligned, connected, and sustainable.

Joh draws on a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed frameworks and has undertaken specialised training in trauma-informed and relational practice. Her advanced clinical training includes:

  • Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies (CPAT – Therapist)

  • EMDR Level 1

  • Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) – Foundations

  • Blue Knot Foundation Three-Phased Approach to Trauma Treatment

  • Gottman Method – Level 1

  • Board-Approved Supervisor Training

  • Selected professional development through the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD)

In addition to clinical practice, Joh contributes to trauma-informed practice through supervision, training, and the development of clinical resources. She is a Board-Approved Supervisor and is committed to supporting reflective, ethical, and sustainable practice across the profession.

Joh values continuity of care and works collaboratively with clients who are seeking depth-oriented, longer-term therapy within a safe and compassionate therapeutic relationship.
