Lucinda Ware
General Psychologist
BBSc(Honours)

Personal Profile

Lucinda (she/her) is a warm and thoughtful psychologist who provides evidence-based support grounded in compassion, authenticity, and curiosity. She is deeply energised by genuine human connection and is committed to understanding each of her client’s individual story. Lucinda believes that healing and growth come from seeing the whole person, not just their symptoms or diagnosis. She takes a holistic, systemic approach, recognising that factors like ableism, marginalisation, societal expectations, and the pressures of digital life and productivity culture, can profoundly shape one’s wellbeing, relationships, identity, and sense of self.

Lucinda’s work is neuro-affirming, strength-based, and trauma-informed. She values natural differences in the human mind and respects diverse ways of being. She supports clients in pursuing goals which are meaningful to them, rather than those defined by neurotypical expectations. Lucinda’s practice also affirms the LGBTQIA+ community, people practicing consensual non-monogamy or polyamory, and sex workers. Lucinda creates a safe and welcoming space where all clients will feel heard, respected, and supported on their own journey.

Lucinda has extensive experience supporting a wide range of mental health presentations across diverse populations, and has most recently focused on working with adolescents as a Psychologist with the Queensland Department of Education. Throughout her career, Lucinda has worked in both education and community-based settings, supporting individuals navigating major life changes, grief and loss, depression and anxiety disorders, trauma, suicidality, non-suicidal self-injury, identity exploration, and emotional dysregulation. Lucinda approaches each person with genuine curiosity and a deep respect for their spirituality, culture, and religious beliefs.

Lucinda holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology; Honours, First Class) from the Queensland University of Technology, where she was a student representative and conducted research on visual attention processes. She remains committed to ongoing professional development and regularly engages in clinical supervision, reflective practice, and evidence-based training to ensure the highest quality of care.

Lucinda’s work is grounded in attachment theory and draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including:

Outside of work, Lucinda enjoys hiking, cooking, and defending her precious veggie garden from the ever-persistent bush turkeys. She grew up locally on the unceded lands of the Turrbal and Jagera people, which she continues to proudly call home.
