Fees
The current Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee for Clinical Psychology services is $311. At the Lightner Centre we believe in providing an affordable service with competitive fees. The fee structure for individual consultations at the Lightner Centre is as follows:
Clinical Psychologist
300$Our Advanced Clinical Psychologists are experienced Clinical Psychologists who have specific expertise in a specialised area of Clinical Psychology.Â- Gap Fee $158.15

Clinical Psychology Registrar
225$Our Clinical Psychology Registrars are experienced in providing general psychology treatments for a range of life difficulties and mental health conditions.Â- Gap Fee $128.35

- Consultation Fee $225
​Funding for Psychology Support
The overall financial investment in your mental health and wellbeing depends upon factors including the consultation fee, any funding or rebates you may be entitled to and the length of treatment. Our staff can guide you through the process of obtaining rebates to subsidise the cost of your treatment.

Medicare Rebates
We are registered with Medicate and rebates are available for eligible clients with a referral under Better Access to Mental Health Care, from your GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician.
All consultations at the Lightner Centre will incur a gap fee that is payable at the time of consultation.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
The Lightner Clinic accepts plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants. There are no-out-of pocket expenses for treatment under NDIS. Payment will be due on the day of consultation and you will be able to claim this back from the NDIS.

Private Health Insurance


Workers Compensation
We are registered with WorkCover QLD to provide psychology services to assist you following a workplace injury or along your return-to-work journey. You will need a referral from your GP to access psychology services under workers compensation. There are no out of pocket expenses for treatment under WorkCover with a GP referral.

Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)
We are registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide services to eligible Veteran Card Holders (Gold and White Cards) with a referral from your GP, medical specialist, or treating hospital. There are no out of pocket expenses for treatment under the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Bulk Billing
We are a private billing clinic and consultations with our team will incur an out-of-pocket or gap fee payment. If you are experiencing financial hardship and would like to discuss a reduced fee arrangement, please contact our team prior to making an appointment. Hardship arrangements may be offered to clients who are in genuine need of psychological support and who are experiencing significant financial hardship.
