Personal Profile

Laura is a registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar who provides evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment to adolescents and adults. She adopts a warm, collaborative and strengths-focused approach, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual experiences, needs and therapeutic goals.

Laura works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem and confidence difficulties, emotional regulation difficulties, attachment and relationship concerns, stress, adjustment difficulties, and significant life transitions. She takes a collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy, supporting clients to develop greater understanding of themselves and practical strategies to navigate challenges and promote meaningful change.

Laura also has a particular clinical interest in providing family-based support to children and adolescents experiencing eating disorders. She is passionate about working alongside young people and their families to increase understanding of eating disorders, strengthen family support and empower parents and carers to play an active role in their young person’s recovery. Laura has undertaken specialist clinical training and has experience working within an eating disorder service, providing assessment, diagnostic clarification and treatment to young people in collaboration with their families and carers. She also welcomes adult individuals seeking support for eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns.

Laura's experience spans private practice, university, hospital, disability and community settings, and includes working with clients across a broad range of psychological and interpersonal presentations.

Laura places considerable importance on developing a strong therapeutic relationship and aims to provide a supportive and non-judgemental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult experiences. She works collaboratively with clients to develop greater understanding of the factors contributing to their difficulties while building practical skills and strategies to support meaningful and sustainable change.
